Zoara Diamond Opinion and Recommendation
Q:
Hi Liz,
I will like your opinion of this Zoara diamond: http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_d_vs2?s_text=D16272024871#?p=8421985
Also, if I am trying to stay a little closer to $20,000, but would like something in the 2 carat range (about 8 mm), what would you recommend?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,
I am happy to help you.
I looked at your Zoara Diamond, 2.27ct D VS2: http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_d_vs2?s_text=D16272024871#?p=8421985
and I do not recommend this diamond for you. The cut is not ideal and the diamond will not be as brilliant and sparkle as much as much as it could.
Instead, I recommend this Zoara Diamond, 2.13ct H VS1 for $19,156.00: http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_ideal_cut_h_vs1#?p=8340060
This diamond has a GIA lab report and was recently graded on September 5th, 2017. It is a triple Excellent diamond (cut, polish, and symmetry) and has faint fluorescence. The diamond is perfectly eye-clean with no visible inclusions. It has gorgeous optical symmetry (dark arrow contrast) which will make the white light pop with brilliance.
Please let me know what you think and if you have any questions!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Liz
Q:
Hi Liz,
Thank you for the follow up.
I would not have thought to go to an H color, but based on your explanation, it sounds like you think the cut and other criteria will maybe compensate for the color?
I have a five stone ring with E and F stones (each stone is approximately 0.6 carats).
Given that information, do you think the H color will work?
It does seem like a really nice stone and quite large for the price.
Kind regards,
Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,
Yes, I think that an ‘H’ that is cut to ideal cut proportions will be perfectly fine when set against a five stone E-F color band.
I think it’s an excellent stone and you would be very happy with it.
Thanks,
Liz
