Does An I Color Diamond Look Yellow?

Your reviews on diamonds are excellent! I would like to try my luck to see whether I can get the best out of my $4k budget. I am looking for at least an H or I color diamond (Does I color look yellow ?) 0.7 or above carat weight and VS1 or above on clarity.

Hi Phil,

An ‘I’ colored diamond is not yellow, but if you are color sensitive some people prefer to play it safe and go with an ‘H’ or higher color grade. So, if you are on the fence or worried, then I would recommend staying with an ‘H’ or higher. As far as clarity grade goes, as long as the diamond is ‘eye-clean‘ you are perfectly fine.
